Is Your Life on the Right Track? Here’s How to Find Out

Life is confusing and sometimes it’s really hard to know if your life is heading in the right direction.

I mean, what is the “right” direction, anyway?

Well, today I will show you some signs that indicate that you are, indeed, on the right path!

You’re actively growing and learning

One of the best signs you’re on the right path is that you are investing in yourself and your growth.

You are reading articles, watching videos, and taking courses to learn more about your craft.

You’re always trying to figure out new ways to improve your skills and increase your knowledge.

You see, when you are actively growing and learning, no matter in what field, you are moving in the right direction.

Life is all about learning and evolving, becoming better than you were yesterday.

So if you’re constantly growing and learning, you’re on the right track!

You’re happy with who you are

The first indication that you might be following the right path is if you are happy with who you are.

We all have our moments where we feel like we need to change something about ourselves, but if you’re generally happy with who you are on the inside and out, then that’s a good start!

If you’re not happy with who you are, it might be time to work on yourself and find a way to accept yourself for 100%.

You see, you can be happy with who you are and still want to improve things about yourself.

Maybe you want to get fitter, or learn more, or become more successful.

Those are all amazing goals, and they don’t mean you can’t be happy at your current level!

It’s all about the journey, not the results, so try to find happiness with yourself while being on a journey of self-improvement.

You seek balance in life

The first sign that you’re on the right track is if you feel a sense of balance in your life.

The way to find this balance is to focus on your work, family, and social life.

You should do what’s best for both your home and work life—and try not to prioritize one over the other.

It’s all about striking that healthy balance between your career, friends, and family. If you’re doing this, then more than likely you are on the right track!

You see, in the end, finding a calm balance in your life is really the key to happiness.

Too much of one thing is never a great idea!

But when it comes to experiencing peace from balance, it could be that you’re not living your life aligned with a deeper sense of purpose.

The consequences of not finding your purpose in life include a general sense of frustration, listlessness, dissatisfaction, and a sense of not being connected with your inner self.

It’s difficult to feel like your life is heading in the right direction when you’re not feeling in sync.

I learned a new way to discover my purpose after watching Ideapod co-founder Justin Brown’s video on the hidden trap of improving yourself. He explains that most people misunderstand how to find their purpose, using visualization and other self-help techniques.

However, visualization isn’t the best way to find your purpose. Instead, there’s a new way to do it which Justin Brown learned from spending time with a shaman in Brazil.

After watching the video, I discovered my purpose in life and it dissolved my feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction. This helped me to understand how to move my life in the right direction.

You have supportive people in your life

This may seem like an obvious point, but I am always surprised by how many people don’t have a lot of support in their lives.

A supportive network is so important because it helps you stay grounded.

It encourages you to keep going. It’s hard to stay motivated when things are tough and when you’re feeling frustrated or discouraged.

Supportive friends and family can help you get back on your feet again and they can be your cheerleaders when you need them the most!

So, if you can think of at least one person who you can lean on and trust, that is already a sign that you are moving in the right direction in life.

Here it’s also important to mention that quality is much more important than quantity.

It’s better to have a few good friends than to have hundreds of acquaintances.

Your life is hard sometimes (meaning you are constantly evolving)

One indication that you’re on the right track is that your life is hard sometimes. It makes sense, doesn’t it?

If you are constantly evolving, then it also means that your life is constantly changing.

Sometimes those changes can be difficult. But tough times also mean you’re doing something right!

Tough times tell us that we need to grow and evolve in order to be successful.

The key to maintaining positivity during these difficult experiences is to focus on what you learn from them.

What did you discover about yourself or others? How did the experience change your priorities?

These are all important questions to ask yourself in order to find out if your life is heading in the right direction.

So, when your life feels kind of hard sometimes, that is actually a good sign!

You think about long-term goals, not just short-term gratification

If you’re mostly thinking about what you can get out of the moment, or what will satisfy your desires in the short term, that’s a sign that you’re not on the right track.

This means playing tons of games, going clubbing, smoking, etc.

This is because people who are on the right track are more concerned with their long-term goals and achieving them.

They know that it’ll take time and patience to reach those goals, but they’re willing to work hard for them.

So if you find yourself only thinking about what’s going to make you feel good in the moment and nothing else, it’s a sign that you need to change your approach.

Of course, that doesn’t mean you can never indulge in short-term gratification.

But let me tell you something:

If you are generally more focused on long-term goals, you will learn to savor short-term gratification even more!

You know what you want to change about your life

If you have a clear sense of what you want to change in your life and are striving to make it happen, then you know that your life is headed in the right direction.

There are many people who do not know what they want to change about their lives.

They are too afraid or ambivalent to take any sort of action. It’s easy to get stuck in this place because it feels safe and comfortable.

But if you want to make changes, then the first step is acknowledging it.

For example, if your goal is to start an exercise routine again after a long hiatus, then keep track of how you’re doing.

Did you actually go for a jog this morning as you planned? Were you able to do five pushups today?

When we take small steps towards our goals, we can feel proud of ourselves and see our progress – which motivates us even more!

So, if you have tangible goals in your life and know what your next big goal is, you are doing something right!

You know how to quickly forgive and move on instead of holding onto the past

Moving on from something that has happened in the past is important to living the best life possible.

In order to forgive and move on, you have to realize what you’re holding onto isn’t worth it.

Holding onto past mistakes can create a toxic environment for your mind, which then impacts other areas of your life too.

So ask yourself: Am I holding onto the past? Am I letting go? If you’re not doing these things, then that’s a sign that you are not living the best life possible.

By forgiving and moving on from the past, you will be able to focus more on what matters most in your present and future–which is why it’s so important!

You see, forgiveness is for you, not the other person.

You can forgive someone and still cut them out of your life.

Forgiveness means you don’t give them the mental power over you anymore and let go of resentment.

You trust your intuition

If you have a gut feeling – even if it opposes popular opinion or if it is unpopular – and you always listen to that feeling, then you are on the right track.

This means that you are confident in your own decision-making and recognize when something doesn’t feel right.

The key here is to cultivate your intuition and know that sometimes we need to take a risk and do something new.

Your gut feeling is very wise, and you will make the right decisions when you learn how to listen to it.

Sometimes, you can’t even explain why you feel a certain way, but you just know that a decision is the right or wrong one.

That’s what you should listen to!

Is your life on the right track?

Looking at these few points, what do you think, is your life heading in the right direction?

Contrary to popular belief, things like success, money, or relationships are not always a good indicator of whether or not you’re doing well.

Instead, focusing on things like growth, learning, loved ones, and self-improvement can say a lot more!
